REGISTRATIONS

To access the Website, you have to complete the online registration form to become a Member of the site.

All Personal Information collected will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By registering with the Website, you are accepting these Conditions.

1. ONLINE SHOPPING

1.1 Every care has been taken to ensure that the photographic representation, description and specification of each product is accurate. However, while the reproduction of colours is a close representation, a slight variation in the actual goods may occur. We are therefore unable to guarantee that the product images you see are an accurate representation of the actual merchandise. 

1.2 By submitting an order to us through our website, you represent and warrant that the payment details provided on your order are valid and correct, and that when your order is accepted and processed by us, payment will be made in full. By placing an order you confirm that you are the person referred to in the billing details.

1.3 Visitors under the age of 18 should not register with this website or submit any information to us.

Visitors to the site buying alcohol and/or knives must be over the age of 18. We may contact you via telephone to verify your age, or if we require documentation to support the purchase and we will require a valid identification, such as a driving licence, passport or birth certificate to be sent to us. Should we deem that the identification is not valid or identification cannot be provided for the purchase, we may cancel the Order. The courier delivering such an order may request identification at the point of delivery to verify your age. Where such identification cannot be provided or the courier is not satisfied with the age of the recipient, the courier may retain the delivery.

 2. PLACING AN ORDER

You can place an order in one of two ways, either online or over the telephone through our Customer Service team.

Non-acceptance of an order may be a result of one of the following:

  • The product you ordered being out of stock - see 7. Product Availability/Information below
  • Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment
  • The identification of a pricing or product description error
  • Failure to meet the eligibility to order criteria set out in the Terms and Conditions
  • We reserve the right to reject acceptance of any order at any time in our absolute discretion

 

Online

Shortly after you have placed an order with us, an email will be sent to you acknowledging the exact details of your order. This email is not an order confirmation or order acceptance from MaisonDOpulence. Should you not receive an acknowledgment within 5 business days, please contact our MAISON CONCIERGE team AT CONCIERGE@MAISONDOPULENCE.COM. Acceptance of an order placed by you online and the completion of the contract between you and MaisonDOpulence will take place when your order is dispatched, unless you have cancelled the order in accordance with the order cancellation instructions set out below.

Over the Telephone 

A member of our Customer Service team will be delighted to help you place an order over the telephone, advise you on the range of merchandise we offer on our website and help you with queries about payment.

Our Customer Service team is available Monday to Friday 9.00am - 6:00pm. We are closed on weekends and Bank Holidays. Please call 0203 771 2121.

 Where you place an order over the telephone, you will be given a customer reference number as an acknowledgement of your order. Please note that your order is not accepted at this stage. We accept your order for an item ordered over the telephone at the point of your order being dispatched, unless you have cancelled the order in accordance with the order cancellation instructions set out below.

Telephone calls may be recorded for security and service monitoring purposes.

When an order is placed, we request pre-authorisation for the value of the order from your bank/card issuer to ensure that the funds are available. However, this remains simply a pre-authorisation request until the order is shipped, at which point we actually take payment.

We have found that some card companies show the initial request and the later charge as two separate entries, please be assured that we only charge your card once and that any 'second' charge is only temporary and will shortly disappear.

3. ORDER CANCELLATION

If you wish to cancel your order placed online or over the telephone, please contact our Customer Service team by:

  • Calling 0203 771 2121  Lines are open Monday to Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm. We are closed on weekends and Bank Holidays.
  • Forwarding your acknowledgement email to us at INFO@MaisonDOpulence stating your intention to cancel the order.
  • Alternatively, you may cancel your order by returning the goods along with the completed returns form within 14 days of receipt.

Please note that additional terms apply to Hampers. Further details are set out in the Hampers Section 9 below.

3.2 It may not always be possible to stop an order from being dispatched, as we endeavour to process orders immediately. If your order has already been dispatched, please return the order following the instructions contained within the parcel. Please note that your right to return goods does not apply to certain products. Further details are set out in our Returns Policy in section 4.

3.3 In order to change the details of your order, you must notify us within 30 minutes of your order being placed. Please have the order number to hand. After this time we are unable to amend your order as we endeavour to process orders immediately, therefore we would request that you return the goods once they have been delivered - please see section 4 for our returns procedure.

MaisonDOpulence.COM is unable to make any amendments to an order once it has been placed. If an amendment does need to be made, the only option available is to cancel the order.

However, to do this you must notify us within 30 minutes of your order being placed. Please have the order number to hand. After this time, we are unable to amend your order as we endeavor to process orders immediately.

Therefore, we would request that you return the goods once they have been delivered. If your order has already been dispatched, please return the order following the instructions contained within the parcel. Please note that your right to return goods does not apply to certain products.

4. RETURNS

Returns Policy

The Returns Policy is for goods purchased on the website or over the telephone.

Unwanted goods may be returned for a refund. Please return them in their original condition, unused (with their original packaging), with all labels and garment tags still attached within 14 days of receipt of your goods using the returns form provided.


The following items may not be returned:

  • personalised items or goods which have been made to a customer's specification;
  • perishable goods, including food and certain hampers;
  • for reasons of hygiene we do not accept the return of:
    - any beauty product or fragrance
    - ladies' and men's briefs, swimming costumes and bikini bottoms
  • Items that have been personalised for you, such as gifts or stationery 
  • - hosiery, unless unopened and in its original packaging
    - Unfortunately, due to hygiene reasons, JEWELLERY cannot be exchanged or refunded unless faulty

Made to measure products such as furniture and fabric cut by length.

Lost Returns:

Should your chosen courier fail to deliver or lose any Goods you are returning it is your responsibility to claim compensation from the courier directly. MaisonDOpulence is not liable for any lost return parcels of Goods.

MaisonDOpulence will not be liable for any loss or expenses sustained by you arising from any delay in the delivery of the Goods howsoever caused.

Please ensure you return the goods to us in their original packaging. Although your statutory rights as a consumer will not be affected, the goods are second hand without the packaging and we may not therefore be able to process your return. You can take the goods out of the packaging to check suitability, but don't throw it away and please return it with your goods. For electronic products, the original manufacturers' packaging is part of the goods, so please retain it for at least 14days in case you wish to return them for any reason.

Refunds will be made for the original purchase amount against the original form of tender. If you are returning products purchased viaPayPal, the original amount will be processed into your PayPal account. Free returns are NOT  available where deliveries have been made to the UK Mainland and a Standard, Next Day or Saturday delivery service was selected. Please note that in all other cases, postage or other return costs will be the customer's responsibility except in the case of damaged, faulty or incorrectly supplied goods.

When returning goods on which you have received a discount or special offer, that discount/offer will no longer apply if you fall below the discount/offer threshold and the refund will be adjusted accordingly. Additionally, any free promotional gift issued with an order must also be returned if you are returning those goods.

None of the above terms affect your statutory rights or your rights under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations when goods are faulty or incorrectly supplied. In the unlikely event of this being the case, please return the goods to us.

Returns Procedure

MaisonDOpulence DOES NOT offer free returns on all UK Mainland Standard or Next Day or Saturday deliveries. This includes International Delivery, deliveries which incur a special delivery charge, deliveries from third party suppliers, large and bulky goods and furniture.

To return unsuitable purchase(s) free of charge, apply the enclosed free returns label to your parcel and post the package at your Post Office. We strongly recommend that you retain your receipt from the Post Office until you have received credit for your return. We regret that we cannot be held responsible for non-delivery of returned goods.

Please return any incorrect or defective Goods to MaisonDOpulence  as soon as possible. Due to its supply process, MaisonDOpulence is unable to provide replacements for incorrect or defective Goods or undertake repairs. Subject to a full investigation by us with our supplier and with the courier, MaisonDOpulence will provide a full refund for defective, incorrect or missing Goods (return postal charges will only be refunded where the Goods have been found to be wrongly described or defective). This does not affect your statutory cancellation rights.

Items of clothing will arrive with a tag attached. If you wish to return any unwanted item(s), please ensure this returns tag remains attached. Items which are returned to us with this tag removed may not be accepted and may be returned to you without refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Payment methods

We only accept payment for orders in £ sterling.

We accept payment by American Express, JCB, Maestro, MasterCard, Visa and Visa Debit, MaisonDOpulence gift Cards and PayPal. You will find additional Terms and Conditions for PayPal payments at www.paypal.co.uk. (MaisonDOpulence.com is not responsible for the content of external websites).

If you choose to pay for an item using a payment card with a foreign currency denominated account, the account will still be taken in £ sterling at the conversion rate applied by the relevant payment scheme at the time of processing your order.

Please note, we cannot guarantee the security of data which you send us by email. Accordingly, please do not send us payment information using email. For details of the security measures we employ, please read our Security and Privacy policy.

Unless we are fraudulent or negligent we will not be liable to you for any losses caused as a result of unauthorised access to the personal and transactional information you provide us when placing an order.

Please note that MaisonDOpulence does not accept cash or cheques as payment online or over the telephone.

Pricing policy

All prices shown on the website are in £ sterling and are inclusive of VAT, where applicable. Prices may change and offers may be withdrawn at any time.

All Goods are exclusive of delivery charges, which will be indicated to you during the ordering process.

We reserve the right to modify our prices at any time.

The original recommended retail price (RRP) or suggested retail price (SRP) quoted in the Product Description is the price provided by our supplier. This price is provided for comparison purposes only.

UK VAT will be automatically deducted (where applicable) from merchandise dispatched to non-EU countries. The deduction will be made before payment is collected. For Hampers and Gift Boxes please refer to section 9.

Although we try to ensure all our prices displayed on our website are accurate, errors may sometimes occur. If we discover an error in the price of an item you have ordered, we will contact you as soon as possible. You will have the option to reconfirm your order at the correct price or cancel it. If we are unable to contact you, we may treat your order, in respect of the incorrectly priced item, as cancelled.

 

5. PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

We feature products on our website that have been carefully selected for Online Shopping. Once an item is Sold out, it will be taken off the website at the earliest opportunity and may not be available again.

Prices of products may change from time to time. If items you order are out of stock, subject to a delay, or sold at a higher price than shown on your order, we will contact you at the email address or telephone number you provided when placing your order. If we are unable to contact you via telephone or email, we will cancel the part of your order that is unavailable or incorrectly priced and will continue to process the remaining items on your order (where applicable).

All items are subject to availability. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, it is necessary to substitute an item, the item will be of equal or greater value than the item it is replacing. Substitutions will only be made with your prior consent. If a replacement item is of greater value, you will be liable to pay for the difference in product values.

IMPORTANT: please note that during periods of significantly increased demand and lower stock availability, such as Sale, there is an increased risk of items being out of stock.

6. DELIVERY INFORMATION

Please note that the below delivery information applies only to orders placed online through MaisonDOpulence ONLINE or telephone orders made through the Customer Service team. Unfortunately, we do not deliver to UK BFPO or UK PO box addresses.

Delivery Timing

Please note that MaisonDOpulence cannot guarantee specific delivery dates. 

Please allow up to 5 working days for delivery within UK and 12 working days for Channel Islands and International delivery unless alternative dates are stated in the product description. This is subject to goods 

being in stock and payment authorisation. We are unable to guarantee delivery earlier than this time frame. 

Delivery dates outlined in the Product Description are an estimate only. By agreeing to these Conditions you accept that we may not be able to deliver the Goods within the estimate. You hereby agree that the statutory 30-day delivery period does not apply to the Contract.

Should you order Goods from one or more sale, your order may be collated by our warehouse once all Goods are available. We reserve the right to make delivery of the Goods by instalments.

If you are not present at the time of delivery, a delivery note will be left, stating that the courier will re-attempt delivery the following day, or that the Goods have been left in a secure location outside of the property or with a neighbour. If this is not possible, the Goods will be returned to the courier delivery depot and the driver will attempt to deliver the Goods another time. If the Goods have been returned to the courier depot after three attempts, then the Goods will be returned to our warehouse. The Goods will automatically be returned to MaisonDOpulence as undeliverable. We are unable to resend Goods that are returned to us as undeliverable. In that case, we will refund you the value of the Goods ordered.

You must inspect the Goods on delivery and, in the case where Goods have been delivered by carrier, sign the required proof of delivery document or collection acceptance document. A signature on that document will constitute conclusive evidence of receipt by you of the quantity of Goods indicated on that document free from any apparent defect or damage. Any delivery problem with the Goods should be notified to MaisonDOpulence Customer services team, within fourteen days of receipt. 

Please note that individual items and Hampers/Gift Boxes will be dispatched separately.

We deliver a wide selection of our online merchandise to over 40 countries worldwide.

Due to new export requirements in the USA, orders of over £1000 made at MaisonDOpulence.com will be given a Manufacturer's Identification Number. This number will need to be verified at customs before clearance can proceed. Because of this, there may be a slight delay on your order which MaisonDOpulence.com cannot be held liable for.

We regret we do not deliver perishable Hampers and Gift Boxes overseas and certain other products are not exportable including perfume, large and bulky items, Christmas crackers and alcohol. For further information refer to International Shopping.

All products that are made in China or that originate from China will not be accepted at any customs in India. If you are planning to order or send any products to or from India, please make sure to read the product details to ensure that your item is not made, or does not originate in China.8.3.5In keeping with the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (commonly known as CITES), MaisonDOpulence.com is forbidden to trade internationally in materials from species listed by CITES. These items include, but are not limited to, articles made from whale teeth, ivory, tortoise shell, reptile, fur skins, coral and birds. Therefore, any orders made online including these materials will not be cleared through customs and will not reach the recipient's address. Import Duty

We cannot be held responsible should local customs authorities wish to confiscate any particular item contained within a Hamper or Gift Box or any other item ordered, or charge any import duty on such items. The recipient is responsible for paying the duty.

MAISONDOPULENCE.COM cannot be held liable for any import duties payable on orders made and recommends that all customers make themselves aware of such local charges before ordering.

Message Card and Gift Wrapping

We do not currently offer a gift wrapping service for orders placed through MaisonDOpulence.com or through our Customer Service team, but customers can select to add a message to their order during the checkout process.

Delivery and Export information

Please note that cancellations or alterations to orders containing perishable goods, food, Hampers and Gift Boxes must be made within 24 hours of ordering.

General Conditions for Hampers and Gift Boxes

In addition to all other clauses of these Terms and Conditions, the following terms relate to the purchase of the Hampers and Gift Boxes.

The terms 'Hamper' and 'Gift Box' are interchangeable and defined as a collection of food and/or non-food items packaged in a container such as printed cardboard box or wicker basket. The type of container used for each Hamper is shown on our website.

Please note that all perishable Hampers and Gift Boxes are marked as such on the website/catalogue and the responsibility for the correct and appropriate storage method of the perishable components lie with the recipient.

All products are subject to availability. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, it is necessary to substitute an item within a Hamper or Gift Box, the item will be of equal or greater value than that which it replaces. 

Packaging presentation may vary. Accessories and glassware are not included in the contents, unless specifically stated so.

Acknowledgement of your order will be sent via email on receipt of your order. To ensure this is a seamless process, please ensure you provide your email address when placing the order.

 

7. GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR MaisonDOpulence GIFT CARDS 

The conditions of use as set out below, the Terms and Conditions above and any condition on the reverse of the MaisonDOpulence Gift Card itself apply for the use of MaisonDOpulence Gift Cards. Please read these conditions of use in full before buying / redeeming the MaisonDOpulence Gift Card.

About MaisonDOpulence Gift Cards
MaisonDOpulence Gift Cards look like credit cards but act like Gift Vouchers and are available for purchase online any denomination up to £500. Restrictions are in place for the volume of Gift Cards available for purchase online - these will change from time to time.

Payment

Price of the Gift Card is exclusive of VAT and it will be treated as another form of tender towards future purchases.

All MaisonDOpulence Gift Cards ordered from this website or by telephone must be paid for in £ sterling using the permitted methods detailed in section 5 (Payment Methods). Please also consider our Pricing Policy.

Redeeming MaisonDOpulence Gift Cards

The MaisonDOpulence Gift Card is redeemable in full or part payment for goods/ services sold in MaisonDOpulence.com 

The balance on a MaisonDOpulence Gift Card may be used until either the balance is fully depleted or the MaisonDOpulence Gift Card expires (whichever of these two instances occurs sooner).

To redeem your Gift Card online, you will need to enter your Gift Card number (on reverse of card) and pin code (in scratch-off panel on reverse of card).

If your Gift Card has insufficient funds to cover the order total, you may pay the remainder using a credit/debit card or further Gift Cards. Up to 5 Gift Cards may be used in one order.

Please note that the total balance of a Gift Card will be used before a second payment method is requested in a single order.

MaisonDOpulence Gift Cards will expire after 24 consecutive months of non-Use. (""Use"" for the purposes of this terms includes making a balance enquiry.) After this date you can obtain a replacement card for the remaining value by applying through info@maisondopulence.com and returning the old maisondopulence Gift Card.

You may check the expiry date of your MaisonDOpulence Gift Card at by calling 0203 7712121.

A maximum card balance of £10,000 applies to all MaisonDOpulence Gift Cards.

Amex customers must call their bank to notify them before ordering, should the delivery address be different from their card billing address.

Maisondopulence  Gift Cards will be dispatched separately from other items on your order.

How To Check The Balance

You may also check the balance of a MaisonDOpulence Gift Card by calling 0203 771 2121. 

Lost Or Stolen Cards
MaisonDOpulence is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged MaisonDOpulence Gift Cards, once issued. The MaisonDOpulence Gift Card cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or damaged.

Returns

Gift Cards are non-refundable.

You cannot transfer the balance of a MaisonDOpulence Gift Card onto another MaisonDOpulence Gift Card.

Items purchased online using a MaisonDOpulenc Gift Card will be refunded in accordance with our standard Returns Policy. Any monies which are due to be refunded will be issued onto a new MaisonDOpulence Gift Card. Remaining balances on a MaisonDOpulence Gift Card may not be transferred to a cash equivalent.

These conditions of use may be altered from time to time where we consider it reasonable and necessary to do so. 

 

8. VOUCHERS AND SPECIAL PROMOTION CODES

You may occasionally receive vouchers from MaisonDOpulence

Unless otherwise stated, vouchers can only be used once.

Only one discount code can be used per order.

No cash alternative available.

Only one voucher is eligible per household.

Vouchers are valid until the specified date, or till the 31st December of the current year (if no date is specified).

MaisonDOpulence reserves the right not to issue discounts or remove them where we have grounds to suspect the promotion has been used in contravention of the Conditions. MaisonDOpulence reserves the right to withdraw, amend or extend a voucher code promotion at any time. Other terms may apply, please see the specific promotion terms for full details

A voucher is only applicable to the email address it was sent to and is not transferable.

Vouchers are valid on the MaisonDOpulence Website only.

Should you cancel or return Goods from an order where a promotional discount code has been used, no refund of this promotional code or equivalent value will be provided.

Vouchers cannot be split into smaller values and any remaining amount left on a discount code or voucher after a purchase cannot be retained.

Some vouchers may specify a minimum spend in order to be used. In this case, the monetary value of the order (excluding delivery charges) has to be equal to, or higher than, the minimum spend specified.

Except in relation to the description of products and services available for order from our website, we do not guarantee and are not responsible for the accuracy of any information provided on the website.
